Ayurvedic head massage is an ancient therapeutic treatment that has been practiced in India for over 5000, years. It involves a variety of pressure techniques including circular massage strokes that focus on your head, shoulders, and neck regions.

These deep massage techniques, when used in conjunction with aromatic oils, improves your scalp and hair condition. It also stimulates the natural healing abilities of your body.

 

This popular massage is performed seated. It is not necessary to remove all clothing, just to have the neck and shoulder area easily accessible. The areas massaged are the head, neck, shoulders and upper back, arms, and face. Massage movements used include effleurage, kneading, vibration, friction, cupping. Oil may be used but most clients prefer Indian Head Massage without oil.
